
Bruno Grassini
Bruno Grassini comes from Italy. His most important roles after training at the Vienna Conservatory: in the lead role of Luigi Lucheni he told Empress Elisabeth’s story in the musical Elisabeth in Vienna, Berlin, Trieste, Stuttgart, Zurich and on tour in Germany and Japan. He performed the title role in Jekyll & Hyde (Vienna and Cologne), Alfred in Dance of the Vampires in Vienna under the direction of Roman Polanski, Anatoly in Chess and Jean Michel in La Cage aux Folles (both on EU tour), Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Andrews in the Swiss production of Titanic, Chuck in the European premiere of Avenue X in Vienna, and Marley in A Christmas Carol in Essen. The world premieres for which he created roles: 1998 in Berlin in Lord of the Rings as Bilbo Baggins; 2005 in Ludwig² as the Shadow Man (Füssen); 2012 in Tell as Governor Gessler (Switzerland). In Regensburg he was the first German-speaking performer to create the role of Charles in Stephen Sondheim’s Putting It Together. In 2010 his solo CD “Tra Cielo e Mare” was released.
